From December 22-25th, 2024, the County Neonatal Care Unit’s National Management Training Program continued with training for neonatal department heads of six county-level program hospitals. The cohort from Yunnan and Guizhou trained for one week at CMF’s training partner, the Shanghai Children’s Medical Center.

This initiative is designed to enhance hospital management skills and expertise, providing a stronger foundation for improving neonatal care within a hospital’s NICU. The program’s conclusion marks the successful completion of the County Neonatal Care Unit Program for a total of  41 county-level hospitals in Yunnan and Guizhou, supported by the Children’s Medical Foundation.

With this impactful milestone, we’re paving the way for a brighter future in neonatal healthcare!

“I’ve attended national-level training programs before, but those primarily focused on technical skills. This was my first opportunity to participate in management-focused national training. Coming to the Shanghai Children’s Medical Center was truly inspiring. What struck me most wasn’t their state-of-the-art facilities or equipment, but their cutting-edge management philosophies, which completely opened my eyes.

I am deeply grateful to the Children’s Medical Foundation and their donors for their support. This training has given me a clearer vision for our department’s future and strengthened my resolve to move forward with determination.”- Dr. Bin YANG form Jinsha County maternal and child Health hospital
