Children's Medical Foundation - Driving Change: 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament & Dinner 2026

[Shek O Country Club, Hong Kong, 14th April 2026] On April 14, Children’s Medical Foundation (CMF) proudly hosted its 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the stunning Shek O Country Club. This year is particularly special as we celebrated our 30th anniversary last year, marking three decades of dedication to improving child healthcare across Asia.

A Milestone of Care

Over the past 30 years, CMF has made significant strides through our impactful “Every Baby Rescued” program, currently treating 87,000 babies each year through our National Neonatal Network. To date, we have successfully established 106 Neonatal Intensive Care Units in 13 provinces in China. To date, CMF has trained 4,700 rural healthcare professionals and our mobile transport initiatives connect nearly 50,000 rural medical facilities, ensuring that vital care reaches those who need it most. Our programs focus on reducing preventable deaths in newborns, enabling healthier futures for generations to come.

This year, the Tournament and Dinner generated HK$1.5 million, all of which will be dedicated to CMF and its flagship program, “Every Baby Rescued.” This initiative aims to address the high neonatal mortality rates in rural China, providing critical support to families with seriously ill newborns. In 2025, the program expanded to southeast Asia to meet urgent unmet needs. The funds will facilitate the expansion of this program and contribute to sustainable healthcare solutions to save even more lives.

Celebrating Our Winners

We were pleased to celebrate the achievements of our participants. The Team Winner – CSOP Team was comprised of Yana Zhang, Frank Shao, Duatin Guo, and Josh Zhao. Team 1st runner up – Shroff Team – goes to Fizzy Pavrie, Haj Wilcox, Simon Cheung and Neal Campion. Men’s and Ladies’ Longest Drives were won by Greg Van and Elaine Young, respectively. Philip Stanton won Closest to Pin on Hole #6 and Marc Compagnon on Hole #9. There are twelve winners for Beat-the-Pro Challenge who managed to beat pro Vaughan Mason on Hole #4.

About Children’s Medical Foundation

CMF was founded in 1995 by Mr. CC Tung of OOCL, Edmund Tse of AIA Group Limited, the late JS Lee of Hysan Development, and other visionaries. Its first project was the establishment of the Shanghai Children’s Medical Center (SCMC), which remains one of China’s leading pediatric hospitals today. Since 2003, CMF has focused on neonatal care, addressing one of the most critical yet least understood challenges facing China and the developing world: the unacceptably high death rate of babies under 28 days of birth. To date, CMF has established 102 neonatal intensive care units in partnership with government hospitals, currently treating 87,000 newborns each year, which means we treat one baby every six minutes and save one baby every 17 minutes.

However, our work is not done, as many rural and underprivileged areas in China and Asia still have alarmingly high mortality rates. CMF’s funding primarily comes from corporate and foundation grants tied specifically to programs in designated regions, with clear performance indicators and goals.
