May 14th, 2025 – With no centralized neonatal database in place despite 40,000 annual births, Hong Kong faces a major gap in newborn care. Responding to this need, CMF convened renowned neonatologist Dr. Shoo LEE, founder of both the Canadian and China Neonatal Networks with the Hong Kong Children’s Hospital (HKCH)’s Head of Neonatology, Dr. Rosanna Wong. Through this connection, HKCH is explores the opportunity to establish Hong Kong’s first neonatal database.
This marks a vital step toward improved care quality, data-driven outcomes, and a healthier start for every newborn—with CMF playing a key role in bridging global expertise and local needs.
