As we reflect on the end of 2023, a quiet yet impactful journey began in Guizhou, thanks to your generous support. CMF had identified 13 county hospitals in need and is helping them develop Neonatal Intensive Care Units to meet National Health Commission standards.
This summer, dedicated doctors and nurses from five county hospitals completed six months of intensive training at Guiyang Maternity and Child Healthcare Hospital.
They returned to their communities equipped with enhanced skills and a renewed commitment to safeguarding the health of newborns in Bijie and Zunyi.
This fall, medical professionals from four more county hospitals are continuing their training at Guiyang Maternal and Children’s Hospital. The final phase of the “Every Baby Rescued Guizhou” program aims to strengthen neonatal healthcare across Tongren, Zunyi, and Bijie, fostering health equity in these underserved areas.
Thank you for being part of this vital mission!
“The training enabled us to make significant advancements in our professional skills and connect with like-minded colleagues dedicated to enhancing newborn care in Guizhou Province. We promise to apply the knowledge and skills we’ve gained to our work, ensuring timely and effective treatment for more newborns in need.”
