December 2023 – We express our gratitude to the generous donors who have made the successful installation of equipment possible as part of the CMF’s County Neonatal Care Unit program in Honghe and Lincang. These donations have greatly benefited six county hospitals in these regions. Alongside this hardware support, our strategic Pillar “from hardware to software” ensures that medical staff receive comprehensive training on the specific equipment models. This approach maximizes the safe and effective application of the donated devices, improving the life-saving medical treatment capacity for newborns in remote county hospitals.
The procurement of these medical devices at a significant discount showcases the efficiency of the donation dollars. For each dollar donated by the CMF, the program hospitals in Yunnan matched it with an additional $22, demonstrating a strong partnership. By addressing the identified equipment shortfall highlighted by the Benchmark Study, these donations bridge the gap and greatly enhance the ability to provide critical care to newborns in need. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to our donors for their invaluable contributions, which have a profound impact on the well-being and survival of these vulnerable infants.
