Children’s Medical Foundation conducted its first training session for the Pu’er NRP program, alongside the commencement of the Pu’er Neonatal Care Unit opening on April 23rd, 2016. The six master trainers who received resuscitation training at Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center delivered neonatal resuscitation training to 120 rural doctors and nurses from 30 county clinics in Pu’er region. Neonatal Head, Dr. Zhou, Dr. Su, and Dr. Wei from Guangzhou personally supervised the training session at Pu’er People’s Hospital. Participants acquired neonatal resuscitation skills through the hands-on learning method, aimed to immediately reduce preventable deaths, caused by breathing difficulties at birth.
