November 27th to December 1st, 2023 – In an exceptional and unprecedented opportunity, 19 directors of neonatology departments and head nurses from 19 county program hospitals in Yunnan and Guizhou provinces embarked on a journey to Guangzhou. Their objective was to convene for five-day Management Protocol Training at Guangzhou Women & Children’s Hospital.
The hospitals in Guangzhou demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and a collaborative spirit, leading to the involvement of the neonatal management staff from three additional regional hospitals in the curriculum. This contribution enhanced the overall training experience. The Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, Guangdong Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital, and Guangdong No.2 People’s Hospital shared their extensive expertise in neonatal management and facilitated field visits to enrich the learning process.
Throughout the training, participants, including the hospital managers from each program hospital, engaged in open discussions about their challenges and shared their practices. They actively collaborated to devise strategies aimed at enhancing management protocols within their respective county neonatal department systems.
