On April 13, 2023, twenty county-level program hospitals from Sichuan and Yunnan provinces in the County Neonatal Care Unit Program（CNCU）traveled to Shanghai Children’s Medical Center for a one-week Master Training Program as part of the capacity building for neonatal health care.
The Master Training Program provided a rare opportunity for the management personnel of county-level program hospitals to learn and exchange experiences. Through communication and learning with experts and peers from Shanghai Children’s Medical Center, they gained more professional and systematic management knowledge and skills. It aimed to further improve their management level and service quality, better meeting the medical needs of local newborns.
Under the guidance of Director Jianhua SUN from the Neonatology Department, the trainees visited the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Director Jun BU, from the Neonatology Department, introduced the department’s management system.
Director Fei BEI gave a lecture on neonatal management and simulation teaching.
Personnel from various program hospitals actively participated in the training.
This is a very meaningful initiative aimed at enhancing the departmental management capacity and level of county-level program hospitals involved in CNCU. It promotes communication and learning between county-level hospitals in the central and western regions and national-level children’s hospitals, making greater contributions to the children’s health cause in the central and western regions.
