January 11th, 2024 – China Merchants Foundation held a donation ceremony to commemorate its contribution to the “Walking with Love EBR” initiative for the Weining County Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Bijie, Guizhou. Since 2022, the foundation has generously donated a total of RMB1.25 million, collaborating with the China Primary Health Care Foundation and Children’s Medical Foundation, as Technical Advisor, to develop the “Weining County Neonatal Care Unit.” This project aims to enhance access to newborn healthcare and strengthen the capacity to provide essential treatments for newborns in Weining County. The initiative includes medical training, technical support, equipment donations, and the implementation of standardized construction for the neonatal care healthcare system. With Weining County being a large county with approximately 1.6 million residents, this project will greatly benefit the community.
