Rural families in Yunnan will receive lifesaving care for their newborns through the generous sponsorship of Operation Santa Claus 2014, the annual giving campaign organized by RTHK and SCMP!

In underdeveloped regions of China, parents struggle to find a hospital that can save their sick newborn, and even then, are often unable to afford the costs.  By establishing a specialized Neonatal Care Unit, approximately 600 babies in the region with life threatening conditions can be treated each year.  In addition, a unique Save-a-Baby Fund provides urgent financial assistance to families below the poverty line, giving at least 40 newborns the chance to recover and live a healthy future.
