On Tuesday June 20th, 104 of the city’s golfers, socialites, founders and family members of Hong Kong’s established community gathered at The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club for the Children’s Medical Foundation’s (CMF) 7th Annual Charity Golf Tournament.
The Charity Golf Tournament and Awards Dinner is the Foundation’s largest annual fundraising event, held in association with and at The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club. The event raised HK$2.0 million, which will benefit CMF, whose flagship program is the Western and Central Rural Neonatal Rescue Capacity Building program, also known as “Every Baby Rescued”.
Proceeds from the event will support the CMF’s continuous efforts and in particular the “Every Baby Rescued” program, ensuring equal access to quality newborn healthcare where it remains unavailable and needed most. This sustainable program reaches deeper into rural China to underprivileged families, reducing preventable newborn death and long-term disability. By 2030, the program will triple the reach of CMF trained doctors and nurses bringing emergency newborn healthcare closer to an additional 50 million families in rural parts of Western and Central China.
The 2023 Charity Golf Tournament welcomed 26 teams for the shot-gun start, with Title Sponsorship from Mrs. Purviz R. Shroff, MH and the Late Mr. Rusy M. The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club offered continuous support for running the event by managing the event operation, venue arrangement, tournament management for all the participants, providing access to one of Asia’s most exclusive golf courses for participants.
